SugarCube
Denver, Coloardo
Urban Villages and the property owners set out to create a building that stands out today, and will be cherished and protected well into the future. We accomplished it through timeless design, progressive architecture, and a commitment to sustainability.
An international architecture competition pointed to Toronto-based Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg (KPMB) as the best firm to realize the vision of Urban Villages. KPMB is renowned for designing modern buildings that fit into historic districts, yet stand out as unique achievements of their own time. In SugarCube, visual harmony with adjacent historic structures is achieved using corresponding facade geometry, brick color, and building massing.
SugarCube is unique in Denver: 50,000 square feet of class AA office with retail and residential mixed-use space stacked vertically. In addition to the finest craftsmanship, floor plans, and finishes, this high-end residential/commercial mix offers complete personalized concierge services to take care of life's details.
Urban Villages acted as developer for the project and manages the property. As property manager, Urban Villages takes care of marketing, residential leasing, commercial leasing, property maintenance and tenant relations. We also lead sourcing and negotiation of construction and long-term financing on behalf of the ownership group.
